Evaluation Point 3
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
My Feedback was very helpful.
It mostly was positive, people enjoyed the geometric grass shapes and exciting use of colour. People also appreciated the idea behind the body and how it promotes body positivity and its aim to bring attention to our generations use of negative labels.
Some constructive feedback I received included the how I had laid out my advert, and the facts that the lip syncing is not quite in sync for a particular line which couldn't nessiserally be helped as I wasn't able to reshoot the footage but has helpful to think about if I am to make more videos in the future.
By looking at my youtube stats I was able to get an insight into how many people have views my video, the numbers were relatively small compared to some videos to more popular songs. This did not suprise me as my song is rather unknown but most of my feedback was positive which made me think it was successful even if it didn't reach a huge audience.

Evaluation Point 2
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Please click the link so see the prezi I created in answer to this question.
Evaluation Point 1
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? 1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
1. I originally wanted to film on a sunny day as happiness and sunshine go hand in hand and lots of music videos from my genre use pathetic fallacy. Unfortunately Scotland wasn't very sunny on the day that I could get everyone together for filming. In fact rather than being sunny it snowed. I chose to enhance the brightness on the video and out some bright, filters over the footage increasing the pink and green so it looks more exciting. By having low angles I was able to display the whole of my chosen costumes as my placards where centre frame.
2. The frames during the lyrics about 'when were young' I have the camera positioned between my young actors, this gives the audience the feeling of being talked at or being back in a classroom situation, I wanted this to convey what I feels like to have a message pushed on to you just like being a child. Low angles are frequently used for this effect in music videos.
3. To put emphasis on the blackboards it was suggested to me that I disperse stills on them throughout my video, I think this breaks up the dancing footage and puts a heavy emphasis on the negative one dimensional labelling that happens to frequently especially in my generation.
I feel very strongly that be need to promote positivity in our media and that we should rise above these labels hence why my actors are originally sad looking are then seen dancing and laughing. Stills are not often used in my genre of music video but I think they were very successful.
4. For the lyrics during the chores I chose to have my main character lip syncing directly to camera, I also edited the footage so there words of the song are on screen in time with the song in my chosen font, (as seen in my advert and digipak.) I have also put a black and white filter on the footage to make it easily definable from the other footage. Typography is something that nearly every music video I looked at used so I felt it was a must for mine.
5. During the bridge/instrumental I chose to have an musician playing a violin, I used an establishing shot to begin with to make this transition clear. I chose a violin as this is the instrument used in the actual song rather than a piano like the original music video as the song does not have a piano. Many music videos use instruments that are not in the song in their music videos but I decided against this.
6. I ended my video with a still one of my blackboards with the word 'What' in my chosen font. This give an obvious end to the video and bring all my themes together.
7. All the scenes with just Lauren in I have put a black and white filter one. This shot shows her throwing the blackboards in the air. This both shows her disregard for the labels. As the line is 'my s**ts not in order' it also reflects her actions. I decided to use b&w as it is commonly scene in indie pop music videos.
8. This shot shows my younger cast lined up against the way all wearing the same costume. I instructed them to look upset, ashamed, and generally unhappy. This is portrayed in the way they hang their heads and look towards the floor. I have shown to film at their head height very close to them. It looks almost as if they've just been told off or shouted at and by having the shot at the same angle as them it directly portrays these emotions to the audience.
9. The violin shot is relatively simple. It allows the audience to absorb/contemplate what they've been watching and enjoy the songs bridge. It gives the video a a scene of levels and difference in shot. It shows just a single character, enjoying the music they are creating with juxtaposes the loud, bright or visually full shots that are seen throughout the rest of the video, this is a technique that is often seen in music videos from my chosen genre.

Planning
Here are some adverts I looked at when creating my own. I will continue the geometric grass theme with the same font, I have changed the saturation around the font so it's easier to read. I have also attached a barcode, qr code and company logos for the companys that will distribute my song.
