24. Main character

Lauren Oram is a 17 year old student at Gordonstoun, she is 5'8 with caramel brown hair and green eyes. She is currently playing the Witch in our schools production of Narnia. She is a highly talented actor and I think will fit the role of my main actress perfectly. She has a hugely varied acting style and will be able to take anything the shoot throws at her. As a natural actress working with her should be more seamless and much less stressful than working with someone who is unfamiliar with working in front of a camera.

Lexi and Jemma I intend to have dressed 'posh'ishly..They will be wearing skirts and shirts. They will Generally look classy.

Kaisy and Aiden are going to be my token slushy couple. I want them dress similarly, (matching colours or materials)

Sabine and Kezia (first and third from left) will be dressed in cute summer dresses, they are both dancers so will be filmed doing something chorographed rather then normal dancing.

'Adya and Vertiy will be dressed in shorts and crop tops, they will be acting as the token dumb girls..(although not the does not reflect their actual personality's. )

 Beau already has a distinct dress sence and is a dancer, he will be dressed in mismatching clothes dancing as wacky as possible.

 Chris will be dress in jeans and a tee-shirt. He will be the 'normal shy kid.'

 Aaron is a fantasic ball room daner, I want him dancing with jemima, (see below) They will be dressed in ballroom outfits, (dress and suit)

These two cheeky boys will play the part as my dysfunctional family during the line about her family. (see animatic) I will have them dressed smartly.
They will also play the children in the lines about hiding the things we don't like inside our self.

For the chorus I plan to film in the dance department of Gordonstoun school. The space is light and airy,

I also plan to film outside on one of the lawns on our school campus.

For the Chorus I would like people dressed as different cliques dancing with blaquareds round their necks with insecurities on them..

20. Different Story Lines-Layout of the music video.

Most music video's have a blend of multiple story lines all running at once. My song talks about acceptance, and embracing the things about yourself that you may not like. For my video I would like to have three (plus one extra)  different story lines running at once.




Story Line One: A surreal setting, upbeat, acceptance, For this I am going to have the main role (Lauren Oram) taking/lip syncing to camera. This is the story with the people with clip boards ect. (see first story board idea)




Story Line Two: For my second story line I want to have 'flashbacks' to what made her so insecure before acceptance. These flash back will flash in and out of the first story line. They will include her screaming during the 'opera' singing line, her being shouted at as a child, crying, being laughed at. This scenes will be mashed with the line about clothes, 'I never really grew up,' 'I'm scared of the dark and the dentist' ect.




Story Line Three: Story Line Three with include people dancing and laughing, generally having a good time, they will all be dressed at stereotypical teens, goth, hippies, nerd ect. They will each have an insecurity written on a plaque round they're neck.




The one extra story line will be her as talking with her family, during the line. 'My family is difunctional, but we have a good time killing each other.' I intend to have a 'family' shouting, screaming, throwing things, laughing, play fighting.


Over the top of some of the shout I intend to have handwriting like fonts depicting the lyrics to the songs.

There are lots of different platforms that advertise and display music videos. I will put my music video firstly on youtube.

Youtube is the biggest media platform for videos at this time and is free to post videos. Youtube is the best place for teens to find new music, I myself found Mary Lamberts music on youtube. Many teens will spend their free time on youtube looking for new music to listen too. Youtube is a good way to rate the popularity of new music. Depending on how many 'likes' can be a good estimate of a fame of a song.



Vimeo is another place to I could share my video via.



Vidmeo is a video sharing site similar to youtube, is it a site made for video makers by video makers.  It may be better for my music video as it has less cat videos and people hurting themselves. The people that use vidmeo are on the site specifically to watch quality music videos and such. It like youtube is also free although you can make a premium account for a small cost.

Music Video Inspirations

I would like to represent some teenage cliques in my music video then embrace the differences. These music videos all contain different types of people or stereotypes.

These music videos particularly use different dance styles. I think in my music video I would like to use some choreographed dance as well as some non choreographed pieces as I think this makes the video more relate-able because everyone likes to dance badly in they're bed room..

16.Target Audience

My ideal audience are the indie hispters of my generation, they are the innovators and game changers. My song is not hugely known, it has a mere 100,000 subscriptions and 6,241,581 views. The audience of this song are the kind of people who spend their time looking for new songs, drinking soya lattes, eating vegan brownies and watching vlogbrother videos. The song unlike other songs in the media limelight at the moment does not shame 'skinny' it instead promotes happiness and confidence to all.
I will attract my ideal audience by creating a video that convays this self confidence and overcoming the abuse that often is thrown at those who are different. My ideal audience love finding new songs, films and authors, this means I will not aim to sell it to a wide audience, rather a specific audience.

About the Video

There are two official music videos to the song 'Secrets' a music video and a lyrics video. I love both and would like to version of her video that mixes both the animation and realistic side of the piece.

Music Video Inspiration

I like the animation style of both lenkas videos..

I like the transitions between shots in the video, she pushes the camera whilst facing it and it slides to the next scene.-See 30 seconds in for reference.

I love the beat and  pastel/pearl colour scheme of this video.

The beginning of this video uses fonts on top of the footage which is something I intend on using in my video.

I think this video is amazing, the consistent use of physical theatre to reflect the mechanical movements as well as a colour scheme and set of costumes that mix together perfectly I find this video genius.

This is Mary Lambert. You probably know her as the female voice on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ hit “Same Love.”

 Her friend, Hollis Wong-Wear, who has sung on the duo’s “White Walls,” knew Mary was a struggling songwriter. She recommended Mary to the guys, who were trying to write a chorus to “Same Love.”

 She was nominated for two Grammy awards for “Song of the Year” and “Album of the Year” with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

 “Same Love” also got Mary a recording contract with Capital Records.

Her first single off her EP, “She Keeps Me Warm,” is an extension of “Same Love,” that Lambert calls “the other side of the story.” The music video features a relationship between two women.

My Song Genre

My song genre is quirky and upbeat. It promotes body confidence and general empowerment. The song I would like to chose will be happy, have a good beat and will contact the social norms of 21st century music. I want people to feel good after watch the video so it will probably also include some humour. I will strive to create a catchy video that shows a positive message.
